SONYA

Sonya at 24 years of age.
Sonya was the "Grand Old Dame" of Jadar Farms. She came to the farm after producing seven foals, all by Dutch stallions.
At the tender age of 14 she was started under saddle. She gave me many lovely trail rides and loved to jump as well. She was inspected by the Swedish Inspection team at the age of 19. She missed receiving what would be a Diploma score at 3 or 4 years old by one point. The inspectors were amazed by her, given her age.
Sonya was one of those mares who are truly happy when being a mom. She produced four outstanding individuals for us. They were Norseman (Flaminco), Jadar Ravin' (Chapman), Jadar Flicka (Amiral) and Jadar Sonyata, who was born when Sonya was 25 years old.
Sadly we lost our amazing girl at the age of 26 years old due to a suspensory ligamant injury. Sonya was a very special friend, a huge part of our family and we miss her dearly.
